PUMA Cards Terms and Conditions for South Africa

PUMA Cards cannot yet be purchased online.

1. Scope

These terms and conditions ('Terms and Conditions') apply to any PUMA Card in its physical form that is purchased at a participating PUMA operated store in South Africa. on or after 15 November 2019. PUMA Cards cannot yet be purchased online.

By purchasing, accepting and/or using the PUMA Card, you (and all those holding title from you) agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. Please read them carefully.

2. Purchase of your PUMA Card

For the purchase of a PUMA Card, our General Terms and Conditions for the purchase of PUMA products apply, which are available in our participating stores for your instore purchases. In the event of any conflict of Terms and Conditions, the Terms and Conditions contained herein will apply to PUMA Cards.

Your PUMA Card is exchangeable only for PUMA licensed products.

PUMA reserves to it the right to limit the number of PUMA Cards issued to you.

PUMA does not give you any warrantees, insurance or promises regarding the PUMA Card not recorded in these Terms and Conditions.

You may not vary these Terms and Conditions.

South African law applies to these Terms and Conditions.

PUMA reserves the right to decline its authority for you to use your PUMA Card if you breach these Terms and Conditions.

3. Payment with PUMA Cards, Validity and Maximum Value

Your PUMA card is valid for 36 months from date of purchase, or until it reflects a Rnil balance, whichever occurs first.

Your PUMA Card can only be used as a debit card (not a credit card) to pay for the purchase of PUMA products plus VAT at every participating PUMA store throughout South Africa

The balance on your PUMA card:

• cannot be exchanged for cash;
• is not transferable; and
• does not accrue interest.

The total Rand amount of your purchases will be deducted from your PUMA Card. You can use your PUMA Card to pay for your purchases until its balance is zero. If the balance on your PUMA Card does not cover the entire purchase, you may pay the balance using other methods of payment, such as paying in cash or with credit card (as applicable).

You may check the balance on your PUMA Card directly at participating PUMA stores. You will not receive a statement or correspondence from PUMA indicating what the balance is on your PUMA Card.

PUMA Cards can only be loaded upon their purchase by you. The minimum stored value on your PUMA Card is R100,00 and the maximum stored value on the PUMA Card is R10.000,00.

PUMA Cards are not reloadable.

After your PUMA Card expires it cannot be used for any purchase. Any remaining balance on the PUMA Card will not be refunded to you.

No transaction fees are payable when you use your PUMA Card.

4. Returning goods purchased with a PUMA Card

Our return policies and 30 days voluntary return period apply to the return of goods purchased with a PUMA Card (whether using the PUMA Card as payment in full or partially together with an alternative payment method).

We handle refunds as follows:

If you return items that were paid for using only PUMA Card/s, you will be issued a new PUMA Card for the returned amount.

If the returned items were paid for by a combination of a PUMA Card and another payment method (e.g. credit card, cash, etc.), then the amount paid via the latter payment method will be refunded through the same means and as for the balance amount a new PUMA Card will be issued.

Example: Your purchase value is R4.000,00 of which R2.000,00 was paid by credit card and R2.000,00 using your PUMA Card. You return items relevant to that purchase valued at R2.500,00. We will refund you R2.000,00 on your credit card and issue you with a new PUMA Card for R500,00.

5. Limited Liability

You may not use your PUMA Card for any illegal transaction. It is your responsibility to determine whether the transaction is illegal or not.

Misuse by you of the PUMA Card may constitute fraud.

Lost or stolen PUMA Cards will not be replaced. Please handle your PUMA Card with special diligence and treat it like it is cash.

Any liability of PUMA or the participating stores in relation to, including but not limited to, misuse, theft, loss, etc. for the credit on your PUMA Cards is explicitly excluded. This limitation of liability does not however exclude a claim by you in the case of gross negligence or a deliberate act by PUMA, the participating PUMA store and/or its employee/s.

6. Privacy Policy

We do not collect any personal data from you in connection with your use of a PUMA Card. However insofar as we collect and process your personal data in the course of your purchase or our issuance of a PUMA Card, our privacy policy (available on www.za.puma.com) applies to our such collection and handling of your personal data.
